WASH (Wisconsin Association of Sober Homes) 'Huddle Up' 2024

As the official state affiliate of the National Alliance for Recovery Residences (NARR), WASH is dedicated to upholding the highest quality standards and ethics for recovery residences across Wisconsin.

The conference will feature a lineup of esteemed national leaders in recovery from substance use disorders, highlighted by Dr. Haner Hernandez, who is set to deliver the keynote address.

Participants can anticipate a program with discussions on topics such as serving indigenous populations within recovery residences, navigating the unique challenges of operating in rural areas, and integrating harm reduction approaches.

ORH (Ohio Recovery Housing) Conference

What is it?

The 2024 Ohio Recovery Housing Annual Conference is focused on 'Recovery Milestones, Pathways to Recovery, and the People Who Use Them.'

The conference is designed to empower and educate those involved in creating and managing sober living environments. The agenda is rich with diverse topics, from addressing service deficiencies and the intricacies of zoning laws for recovery housing operators to navigating insurance and risk management. This conference will also offer practical fundraising strategies, legal compliance guidance, and an exploration of the intersection between substance use disorders and human trafficking.

Attendees will benefit from sessions that promote best practices according to SAMHSA, create solutions for survivors, and learn how to create momentum and cohesiveness within their communities.

Alabama Recovery Advocacy Day

What is it?

This inaugural event aims to unite voices in recovery advocacy and connect participants with legislators to support long-term solutions for substance use disorder. The event also highlights the accomplishments of the Alabama Opioid Overdose and Addiction Council and celebrates the efforts of recovery partners across the state. Attendees are encouraged to register in advance and have the opportunity to purchase ALRAD 2024 T-shirts for $20 to commemorate the event. Steps to connect with district legislators are provided, with a registration deadline of February 29, 2024. The event promotes engagement with various recovery and state agency partners, and volunteers for the event can sign up via an online form by March 1, 2024.

MCRSP (Missouri Coalition of Recovery Support Providers) Training Conference

What is it?

The Missouri Coalition of Recovery Support Providers Training Conference is a comprehensive event designed to foster collaboration and education among professionals working in the field of recovery support.

Mobilize Recovery Conference

What is it? 

Mobilize Recovery an annual event scheduled dedicated to empowering individuals and communities to foster grassroots organizing and recovery solutions to end overdose. In its sixth year, the event brings together people in recovery, family members, allies, and recovery advocates to learn and exchange innovative strategies. The event is free for selected participants who complete the application process.
 
It offers the opportunity to connect with a diverse cross-section of advocates, allies, and stakeholders to develop measurable, sustainable, action-oriented solutions.
 
Past program highlights have addressed a range of topics from policy changes and technology engagement to cultural responsiveness and harm reduction. Mobilize Recovery emphasizes community-based partnerships and provides a platform for learning and networking among those committed to combating the social toll of addiction.

NARR Best Practices Summit

What is it?

NSLA (National Sober Living Association) Annual Training

What is it?

The National Sober Living Association (NSLA) is a nonprofit organization committed to supporting and advancing the quality and availability of 12 Step, abstinence-based sober living homes and recovery centers. Their mission is to promote life-long recovery for individuals with substance abuse and alcoholism issues by ensuring access to affordable, ethically managed sober living homes. The NSLA offers certification, inspection, management training, and operation support for sober living facilities.

The NSLA also hosts an annual conference with workshops, keynote speakers, and networking opportunities.

NYSARR (New York State Association of Recovery Residences) Recovery Housing Conference

What is it?

The event includes a series of sessions focused on recovery housing, harm reduction, substance use disorder (SUD) prevention, treatment, recovery support, and the specific needs of veterans in recovery housing. It usually features a panel discussion with recovery residence operators and individuals in recovery from SUD.

CTARR (Connecticut Association of Recovery Residences) Comedy Night 

What is it?

The Connecticut Alliance of Recovery Residences (CTARR) hosts a hilarious night of Comedy with Mark Lundholm. The evening will include raffles, fun, fellowship, and more laughs you can imagine. To add to the fun, join us after the show for a meet and greet with Mark Lundholm. Tickets available soon.

Mark Lundholm is a hilarious and heartwarming comedian as well as a powerful inspirational speaker who deals with many regular topics in life such as family dysfunction, relationships, drug abuse and addiction, recovery, and much more.

Oxford House World Convention

What is it?

Last year, The Oxford House World Convention, was from August 31 to September 3, 2023, at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in National Harbor, MD.

The Oxford House mission is  to empower individuals struggling with substance use disorders through a self-run, self-supported recovery housing model.

Oxford House traditions, including democratic operation, financial self-reliance, and active participation in recovery programs like AA or NA, while also addressing contemporary challenges and opportunities in addiction recovery. This annual gathering not only serves as an educational and networking platform but also strengthens the collective resolve to continue expanding the reach and effectiveness of Oxford House as a vital resource for long-term recovery.
