We R 4 Unity 2 Services (Cedar Rise Recovery) is a peer-driven recovery support organization serving the Cedar Rapids/Marion, Iowa area. Its mission is to provide safe, ethical, peer-driven recovery support services for individuals and families impacted by substance use, mental health challenges, homelessness, reentry, veteran-related challenges, and life adversity, guided by the principles and standards of the National Alliance for Recovery Residences (NARR). Services include recovery (peer) coaching and life-skills mentoring, supportive recovery housing, recovery transportation and accompaniment, reentry navigation for returning citizens, veterans services, advocacy, education, workforce development, and connections to the recovery community. Peer Recovery Coaches use lived experience to support men, women, and veterans without judgment. The organization operates two recovery residences — a men's house in Cedar Rapids and a women's house in Marion. Its housing model is built on collaboration with partners including the 6th Judicial District, the Iowa Department of Corrections, Willis Dady Homeless Services, CRUSH of Iowa, the Area Substance Abuse Council, Safe Place Foundation, Fresh Start Ministries, local landlords, workforce development agencies, and community employers, measuring outcomes such as housing stability, employment, reduced returns to incarceration, and sustainable recovery.
