A Way Home Housing

Sober living in Gaithersburg & Rockville, MD; single rooms reserved for the most senior house members

A Way Home Housing operates sober living homes for individuals in recovery in Gaithersburg and Rockville, Maryland. Its stated mission is to provide a safe, clean, and supportive living environment with structured, well-cared-for homes where accountability, respect, and personal responsibility support lasting sobriety and continued growth. Homes include shared bedrooms, with a limited number of single rooms reserved for the most senior members of the house, along with welcoming shared living spaces, reliable Wi-Fi, and fully equipped kitchens. Residents are expected to take pride in maintaining a clean, respectful home. House policies prohibit alcohol and illicit drugs and require residents to submit to drug and alcohol testing at any time upon request. Residents must maintain employment or attend school, maintain a working relationship with a sponsor, attend mandatory weekly house meetings, complete daily chores, and observe a midnight curfew (quiet time 10:00 pm to 5:00 am). Attendance at a minimum of three in-person 12-step meetings per week is strongly encouraged, with IOP groups counting toward two of the three. Smoking is permitted only in designated outdoor areas, and no pets are allowed. The fee is $200 per week, paid in advance each Monday, with a $200 non-refundable admin fee required at move-in; the first week is prorated and all fees are non-refundable.
