Nouvel Residence - Ernestine

Nouvel Residence provides structured, male-only transitional housing in the Sacramento area for participants who are ready to reset, rebuild, and renew. We offer more than a place to stay: participants become part of a clean, comfortable, substance-free home with clear expectations, consistent accountability, and a community that genuinely wants to see them succeed. We currently collaborate with several Sacramento-area agencies, including BACS, El Hogar, Telecare, and Turning Point, to provide housing for participants as they move toward greater stability and independence. We are always open to developing relationships with additional agencies, recovery programs, care teams, and community organizations seeking dependable transitional housing for their participants. We have also welcomed participants after they completed residential programs at Fair Oaks Recovery, Sacramento Recovery House, and River City Recovery. Nouvel provides a supportive next step where participants can continue building stability while transitioning toward employment, self-sufficiency, and independent living. Participants at Nouvel have secured employment, graduated from diversion programs, strengthened their independence, and successfully reestablished themselves in the community. Many have chosen to remain with us and transition to private pay even after their program funding or Medi-Cal housing support ended—one of the clearest signs that participants feel at home and value the environment we have built. Our fully furnished, all-inclusive home features paid utilities, Wi-Fi, smart TVs in every bedroom, a full kitchen, laundry facilities, a computer and printer, designated storage, a workout area with equipment and a punching bag, a ping-pong table, and a selection of books, movies, and games. Public transportation is approximately a 15-minute walk away, and food-bank resources are available as needed. Sobriety check-ins, house meetings, curfew and quiet hours, clear house rules, and house-manager support provide dependable structure while participants focus on employment, personal wellness, and long-term independent living. At Nouvel Residence, participants are not treated like a number—they are welcomed into a community that believes in their ability to rebuild.
