Exodus Community Services, Inc.

Exodus Community Services is a Tucson-based group providing sober living for people recovering from drug and alcohol addiction. It aims to offer a safe place to rebuild lives, gain meaningful employment, and return to independent living. About 90% of residents rely on Exodus for shelter, food, clothing and other basic necessities, and roughly 60% are referred by families, friends and community partners. The program uses a community approach with structured guidelines: residents must seek employment, attend four Twelve-Step meetings weekly, participate in one hour of something spiritually based each week, acquire a Twelve-Step sponsor, and work the steps. Household rules include chores, curfews, mandatory house meetings, and maintaining living quarters. The stated mission is to alter the disease of addiction, help participants maintain meaningful employment, and reduce recidivism.
