Clarity House Chicago

Clarity's founder is in recovery, our first home is where his story changed. We know what it takes to recover, because our whole team has been there.

Clarity House provides a safe, sober, and structured living environment where people in recovery can find stability, accountability, and community — the foundation they need to build lasting, independent, healthy lives. From day one, residents are free to work and otherwise reintegrate in to the community and their families, while having the structure and accountability of regular drug testing, breathalyzing, required participation in a recovery program of their choice and basic household responsibilities like a daily chore. We accept residents age 18 and up, from all walks of life and vocations. There is not a minimum or maximum stay requirement, the length of stay is completely up to the resident and their support system. Both of our homes are within easy walking distance of public transportation systems (the men's house is a 15 minute walk from the Blue Line train, the women's house is about a 15 minute walk from the Brown Line train, and both are right by major bus lines) and have street parking available. They are also walking distance from grocery stores, restaurants and convenience stores, and each has several recovery meeting sites within a couple of miles. Chicago is a great city to get sober in, and Clarity House Chicago can be the refuge you need to take that next step in your recovery.

CHRISTIANA HOUSE

The Christiana House is our home for men, located near the intersection of Grace and Kimball, on the north side of Chicago. Christiana House has 2 kitchens and TV areas, a great backyard with a seating area and grill, on-site laundry and it can house up to 8 residents (2 per room). Christiana House is within walking distance to a major grocery store, a department store, several convenience stores and many restaurants. Christiana House is close to public transportation options, including the Addison Blue Line train station, which is about a 15 minute walk from the house, and 4 bus lines that are within 2 blocks of the house. Christiana House has 2 live-in house managers, with 3+ years experience each in sober living homes. The Claremont House is our home for women, located near the intersection of Addison and Western, on the north side of Chicago. Claremont has 2 flats, with each unit holding up to 10 women (2 per room, 4 per bathroom) and each unit has its own kitchen and common area, and the house has on-site, coin operated laundry. Claremont is within walking distance to 2 major grocery stores, several convenience stores and public transportation options, including the Addison Brown Line train station, which is about a 15 minute walk from the house, and 2 bus lines that are within 2 blocks of the house. Claremont House has 2 live-in house managers, with 3+ years experience each in managing sober living homes.
