A New Era Sober Living LLC

Peer-run sober homes with live-in managers who are in recovery, across ND, MN, CA and NC; some paired with local IOP clinics.

A New Era Sober Living LLC provides safe, stable, fully furnished sober-living housing for people in recovery, with homes in Fargo, ND; Moorhead, MN; the Orange/Santa Ana and Fountain Valley areas of California; and Durham, NC. It was founded by Kristen Niewiera, a person in long-term recovery. Each home has a live-in house manager\u2014all of whom are themselves in recovery\u2014who oversees daily order, holds residents accountable, and ensures no drugs or alcohol are on the property. Homes come furnished with essentials such as beds, bedding, dishes and cookware. Residents follow a curfew (10:30pm weekdays, 12:30am weekends, adjustable for work schedules) and shared chores. Staff assist residents with resume building and job searching, which the organization considers key to long-term sobriety. The Sobriety Hub app lets residents view invoices, make rent/program payments, and track schedules and recovery milestones. Some housing is paired with local IOP clinics, and staff can share information about local care coordinators and outpatient programs. These homes are not licensed treatment facilities; they provide supportive housing and peer-based recovery support, while clinical treatment is offered by independent, licensed providers.
